Courtyard Jazz Saturdays

With her warm voice and captivating presence, jazz vocalist Sofia Borgström is one of the most promising young artists on Stockholm's music scene. Inspired by legends such as Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Monica Zetterlund, Sofia combines her heartfelt expression with sophisticated phrasing and improvisation. This summer, Sofia invites a selection of her favorite musicians to join her for some intimate and exclusive duo performances at the hotel, offering guests an unforgettable evening of live jazz. For the opening evening, Sofia is joined by piano virtuoso Vladimir Shafranov for an exclusive duo concert. Born in Russia, Shafranov began playing the piano at the age of four and later lived in New York, where he shared the stage with jazz legends such as Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Carmen McRae, Art Farmer, and Dizzy Gillespie. Now based in Åland, Shafranov has collaborated with many of the finest musicians in the Nordic jazz scene and has toured extensively around the world. On this special evening, his lyrical piano artistry meets Sofia's expressive vocals in a concert not to be missed.
