Marilyn 100 – en hyllningskonsert!

Exactly 100 years to the day after film icon Marilyn Monroe was born, we pay tribute to her with a cavalcade of songs from the fantastic repertoire she sang in the many well-known – and lesser-known – films she had roles in during Hollywood's golden age in the 1950s. Expect jazz, glamour, humor, sincerity, and a touch of burlesque. On stage: Aurora Brännström Trio Aurora Brännström – vocals Ludvig Lundgren – piano Mårten Korkman – double bass Guest artist: Fräulein Frauke – vocals and burlesque. Aurora Brännström Trio performs at everything from jazz clubs, burlesque clubs, and festive events to intimate concerts in churches. Their stripped-back and personal interpretations of both old jazz classics and songs from other genres have gained great appreciation and resulted in several albums. In conjunction with the 90th-anniversary celebration 10 years ago, the jazz trio wrote and performed the musical show Happy Birthday Miss Monroe. Since 2022, the trio has also been the house band at their self-produced jazz club, The Glamtastic Vintage Jazz Club. Felicia Frauke Bichard, or Fräulein Frauke, is Sweden's biggest burlesque export – 'The Cheeky Siren of Yesteryear' – performing both nationally and internationally with her singing and burlesque numbers, and she runs the club Fräulein Frauke Presents Burlesque and the Stockholm International Burlesque Festival together with JP Bichard. On June 1, 1926, Norma Jeane Mortenson was born in Los Angeles. She grew up in Hollywood and became the model, singer, and film star Marilyn Monroe – an immortal American icon who has inspired countless people worldwide.
